Diagrams

Draw flowcharts inside the product and link them to documents and tasks.

Diagrams are drawn with the editor inside the product; the installation does not need to reach out to the internet. The editor ships with the package and works on an air-gapped network too.

Diagrams belong to a board: one diagram can be used in several documents of the same space and on that board’s tasks; the “Where it is used” list is always available
Every save leaves a version behind; restoring an old one does not erase history

Every board has a Diagrams list (a top tab in a docs space, and Board Settings > Diagrams on any board): draw a new diagram there or with the "Diagram" button in the document editor. A diagram used nowhere is marked "Not used"; deleting a document does not delete its diagrams. If you delete a diagram that is in use, an empty frame is left where it appeared
If a diagram on a published page is updated, the page shows a "Diagram changed" badge and the button becomes "Republish"; the page’s version number changes only when you republish
Large process maps fit too, and a page can hold several large diagrams; if the limit is exceeded you get a clear message on save

Drawing and editing a diagram follows its own permission ("Create and edit diagrams"), not the document editing permission. Linking an existing diagram to a task only needs the task editing permission. That split matters on task boards: diagrams exist there too, and write access used to hang on the page permission, which meant it could not be granted on a task board at all. Viewing a diagram is open to anyone with access to the board.
